STOP TA Clinic 02/12/2024: Domestic Violence Homicide Reduction with Darren Mitchell of ALSO STAAR

State and territorial STOP Implementation Plans must include goals and objectives for reducing domestic violence-related homicides within the state or territory, including available statistics on the rates of domestic violence homicides within and challenges specific to the state or territory, and how the Implementation Plan can overcome them.

In this clinic, STOP Administrators will have the opportunity to ground their understanding of Domestic Violence Homicide Reduction in the science. We will explore evidence-based risk factors, newer research looking at more diverse communities, state of the art tools and approaches for conducting risk assessments, and examples of strategies STOP funding can support efforts to reduce DV homicides, including those in current implementation plans.
